First, we are pleased to announce that Dan and Amy are expecting their first child! They have already found out that it is going to be a boy, and he is due at the end of April. You can be praying for a safe pregnancy and delivery and wisdom as they evaluate Amy's involvement in OFM once the baby comes. They would like to continue having her play whenever possible, but it's hard to say how that will work without ever having done it before!
On November 19th, former vocalist Nicole van Egmond was married at our home church. Coincidently, she married Jason Wood's wife's brother. So now Nicole and Jason are kinda related! It was a joy to see Nicole and Cole (her new husband) joined before God. The wedding was beautiful and very God-honoring. Nicole works at Starbucks full time and is enjoying being a wife, and her husband just started doing real estate. Check out our photo page for a pic of the happy couple!
On a heavier note, we were sad to have to let Jared Darnell go as our drummer a few weeks ago. Please pray that the Lord will bring about a new drummer for us in His timing. Right now, it's down to Dan, Amy, Jason and Ben, but we're going as strong as ever! Technically, we've added 2 other members to our shows: Jason and Ben's wives have valuable roles at each of our performances. Leya (Jason't wife) runs our light system and Andrea (Ben's wife) runs our powerpoint display. We couldn't do it without them!
We hope you can make it out to our next GLOW worship service in January. Our speaker will be Peter Mead, who formerly went to Westside until he and his family moved to England to be missionaries.
